Behind the surface of "Big Brother fighting monsters," there are cunning demons, ferocious ghosts, amorous star lords, cowardly immortals... Who are they? What are their motives? What are their fears and loves, their kindness and hatred, their incomprehensible obsessions, and their daily lives? Our ambition is not just to reshape a major protagonist. Instead, we aim to restore the Eastern fantasy world that has always existed in our hearts with top-tier visuals, rich details, immersive combat experiences, and substantial narrative performances—a world that is vast, wild, romantic, full of imagination and mystery, yet utterly believable. Black Myth: Wukong is the first serious construction of this ultimate virtual world-building project. This is, of course, difficult. Fortunately, we are long past the age of seeking quick success and instant benefits. The night has given me fiery golden eyes, and I will use them to see through fate. As long as this banner stands, the free soul of the demon race remains! Many years ago on April Fool's Day, we announced our intention to create a true AAA console masterpiece. Even more years ago at a barbecue stall, we fiercely debated what Sun Wukong did after attaining Buddhahood. In a daze, six years passed; in another moment of distraction, twelve years vanished. The scriptures, after all, were never retrieved. Later, on many nights when we worked overtime until we were delirious, we would half-jokingly ask ourselves—what is the unique, existential meaning of Game Science as a company? Has every product we developed made this world a little more fun? Have the stories, characters, and gameplay we created ever touched people's hearts? Frankly, we are not sure. We only believe that the narrow gate worth passing through is one that first moves ourselves, and then moves like-minded people. Black Myth: Wukong is a single-player, action, role-playing game based on the Journey to the West—no other definitions. It is the latest answer Game Science is preparing to deliver.
