Game Introduction

This work continues the tragic aftermath of one of the world lines visited by the protagonist Rintaro Okabe in the previous title, 'STEINS;GATE'—the "Beta World Line." A cruel fate awaits Okabe, who desires to save both his beloved and his childhood friend. There is no way to save him, crushed by despair... This title, 'STEINS;GATE 0', is a story that begins from what seems like the worst possible ending. What lies ahead for Okabe? A new hope? Or perhaps...?

An Encounter with the "Amadeus" System Alters Destiny
At the end of his long journey across world lines, Okabe lost the woman he loved, Kurisu Makise. Crushed by regret and despair over his inability to save her, he gradually returns to everyday life. His new life goal is to enter "Victor Chondria University," where Kurisu once studied. At a seminar, Okabe meets Professor Leskinen and Maho Hiyajo. They are researching a system called "Amadeus," which stores human memories in computers for practical use. Given a certain opportunity, Okabe witnesses the fruits of their research. Whose memories are loaded into that system...?

The Smartphone App "RINE" Will Change the Future
In this story, how you use the apps installed on Okabe's smartphone will significantly alter the future. The app "Amadeus," for which he gains test-user access, and the communication app "RINE" for contacting his companions will become pathways to an unknown story.
