Game Introduction

Persona 5 Royal is an enhanced version of the classic Japanese role-playing game Persona 5, developed by P-Studio under Atlus. The game continues the story of its predecessor, where players assume the roles of high school students with the power of "Persona." They form the "Phantom Thieves of Hearts" to infiltrate the "Palaces"—manifestations of distorted human hearts—and steal the "Treasures" from corrupt adults, thereby changing their fates. Set in modern-day Tokyo, players take on the role of a transfer student who is falsely accused of a crime after being involved in a school bullying incident. Guided by a mysterious detective, the protagonist awakens the power of the "Persona" and joins forces with a group of similarly gifted companions to form the "Phantom Thieves of Hearts," fighting against the evils and injustices of society.

Gameplay

Palace Exploration: Players must infiltrate the "Palaces" deep within enemies' hearts, navigating mazes filled with traps and puzzles to find their way forward. Stealth is crucial during exploration to avoid detection by guards, which could lead to intense battles.

Turn-Based Combat: The game employs a classic turn-based combat system, allowing players to control multiple Phantom Thieves members. Strategic use of elemental weaknesses, the "Baton Pass" mechanic, and the "All-Out Attack" system is key to victory. The Royal edition introduces the "Showtime" skill, enabling powerful joint attacks at critical moments.
