Game Overview

Gotham Knights is an action-adventure RPG developed by Warner Bros. Games Montréal and published by Warner Bros. Games, officially released on October 22, 2022. Set in the iconic DC Comics universe of Gotham City, the story unfolds after the sacrifice of Batman, plunging the city into darkness and chaos. The mantle of protecting the city now falls upon the shoulders of the four members of the "Bat-Family" – Batgirl, Nightwing, Red Hood, and Robin. Players will assume the role of one of these heroes, battling various criminal factions across the open-world Gotham City and unraveling the conspiracy behind Batman's death.

The Full Bat-Family Roster
Players can choose to play as one of four distinct heroes, each with unique combat styles and skill trees. Batgirl excels in technology and hacking, Nightwing is an agile acrobatic fighter, Red Hood is a ranged firepower specialist, and Robin is a master of stealth and tactical combat.

Open-World Gotham City
The game features a seamless open-world design, allowing players to freely explore various districts of Gotham City, including towering Gothic architecture, dark underground passages, and bustling downtown areas. The city dynamically changes based on a day/night cycle and weather system.

Deep Character Customization
The Digital Deluxe Edition includes the "Visionary Pack," offering extensive customization options. This includes the exclusive "Jim Lee's KnightWatch" transmog, Future Suit skins (inspired by the "Batman Beyond" universe), exclusive emotes, and three exclusive suit colorways (KnightWatch by Jim Lee, Beyond Suitstyle, Year One).

Gear and Salvage System
Players can acquire gear through combat and utilize a salvage system to dismantle unwanted equipment into materials used for crafting new, powerful gear. The Deluxe Edition also includes gear boost benefits to help players progress faster.

Story-Driven Missions
The game features a complete single-player narrative where players investigate Batman's mysterious demise and face off against classic Gotham villains, including the Court of Owls, Mr. Freeze, and other iconic characters.

Gameplay

Combat System
The game utilizes a third-person action combat system emphasizing melee combat and skill combos. Players can employ basic moves like dodging, blocking, and chaining attacks, combined with each character's unique skill tree to unlock powerful abilities. Red Hood can use firearms for ranged support, while other characters focus more on close-quarters combat techniques.

Character Progression
Each character has an independent skill tree divided into multiple branches covering offense, defense, mobility, and special abilities. Players can unlock new skills by leveling up and collecting materials, creating a combat style that fits their playstyle.

Co-op Mode
The game supports two-player online co-op, allowing players to invite friends to explore Gotham City together, tackle side missions, and challenge dungeons. Enemy difficulty scales accordingly in co-op mode, but rewards are also more substantial.

Exploration and Collection
The open world is scattered with various collectibles, hidden side quests, and challenge areas. Players can investigate crime scenes, defeat elite enemies, and unlock secret areas to gain experience and rare gear.
