Story Overview

Due to special circumstances, the human Tang Sheng falls into the 'Monster Interstice', a world belonging to monsters that exists between the realms of Yin (the underworld) and Yang (the living world). He also discovers he has lost his memory. Here, he learns that to return to the human world, he must find all the 'Remnants' that fell with him. During his search, he repeatedly faces threats from Chaos, entities that specifically devour human souls, and encounters a variety of monsters with distinct personalities. Piece by piece, through obtaining the Remnants, he reconstructs his human identity and encounters various unexpected outcomes...

Main Characters

Tang Sheng

A man who wakes up to find himself naked, soaking in a large hot pot, having lost his memory. To recover his memory and return to the human world, he works part-time at 'Floating World Residence', a restaurant run entirely by monsters.

Gu Bai

A skeletal monster who does odd jobs at 'Floating World Residence'. While appearing cheerful and optimistic on the surface, he seems to harbor a deep, unspoken past.

Luo Jiu Tian

The owner of 'Floating World Residence', a nine-tailed fox monster. Arrogant and hot-tempered, he seems to hold deep prejudices against humans and often threatens to throw Tang Sheng to the Chaos.
